Outreach Worker - Sue France Sue France Hi. My name is Sue and I've been in the Ipswich Methodist Circuit since September 2012, where I have been an outreach worker focussing on two of the church fellowships in the Ipswich Rural Mission Area, including Capel St Mary. My role is one of supporting and enabling the many and various activities of the two churches that reach out to their communities. I support existing leaders, encourage, and provide an extra pair of hands in activities like Busy Bees toddler group, children's and youth groups like Trekkers and Junction, Junior Church and Messy church. I also have links with the local primary school, where I lead Collective Acts of Worship (assemblies) and sometimes assist with lessons in class too. My work is by no means limited to young people though. I'm also involved with more adult focussed activities like Beacon Coffee Shop, luncheon club and visits to residents of Dove Close sheltered housing. Another part of my role is to support the overall work of the minister, Rev Andrew Sankey and be part of the wider leadership team of the church along with the Church Stewards, which helps build a shared vision of how mission and outreach are delivered and understood in the life of the church.
