Revd Andrew Sankey - our minister Hi. My name is Andrew Sankey and I've been in the Ipswich Methodist Circuit since September 2010, where I have charge of 5 church fellowships, including Capel St Mary, referred to as IRMA (Ipswich Rural Mission Area). I came to Ipswich from the West Norforlk area, having previously served in the Wirral, in Bristol and a very formative 10 years in Zimbabwe as a Mission Partner. My priority in ministry is in encouraging commitment to the Lord Jesus and nurturing faith in order to develop witnessing disciples. I would describe my ministry style as pastoral, informal, encouraging, releasing others for ministry, collaborative and I believe in the importance of Biblical preaching. I try to be open to God and to new ideas. I look for fresh ways of witnessing to Godís love and have an interest in Fresh Expressions of being church. Hospitality is also a central part of my ministry and I try to encourage my churches to have a greater impact on the communities in which they are based. My family is also a very important part of my life. Together with my wife Margaret we have raised 4 children and we now foster Melissa, who is at high-school.
